My guess. Libs from Minnesota are fleeing to Wisconsin boarder towns. Of course, they bring the same infection that caused them to leave in the first place.
Good guess. On the surface, it would seem to be logical. However, it ain't the case.
The population of La Crosse has been 51,000 +/- 250 since 2001 (10 years). It is the home (or was the home and world HQ) of Trane A/C...that is until Trane was purchased by a multi-national corporation based in Dublin, Ireland (Ingersoll Rand - heavily union - wouldn't buy one of their products with your money)
The employement in the La Crosse area from Trane alone in 2001 was over 5,000. There are now less than 1,100 left. There were 7 buildings in operation in 2001. Now there is one...and it is half empty.
There is a liberal enclave just north of La Crosse called Onalaska...filled with yuppy dem/lib/prog/pops. La Crosse county (wherein lies Onalaska) went for the pig. Out in Monroe County (mostly rural, small town, farming) went for Senator Kapanke.
Moreover, La Crosse town itself is now filled with lots and lots of state employees....'nuff said on that point.
I truly believe it is time for our great Governor, the Honorable Scott Walker, to begin to layoff state workers. Lots of state workers....to begin with, 10,000 or so. More later.
My guess....republican voters stayed home, and the dem/lib/prog/pops showed up.
