Two GOP Senators Survive Wisconsin Recall Elections

Two GOP Senators Survive Wisconsin Recall Elections

Millions invested in elections for six GOP senators in what could be 2012 battleground state

By Tom Curry

At least two Republican state senators survived recall elections as votes were counted Tuesday night in Wisconsin in state Senate races which have gained national attention.

The two Republican winners were state Sen Robert Cowles and state Sen. Sheila Harsdorf.

Democrats, organized labor and progressive groups were using the recall effort to seek retribution against six GOP Senate allies of Gov. Scott Walker who enacted a labor law overhaul that ended collective bargaining rights for many public sector workers.

Walker and his allies also enacted a voter identification law and a redistricting plan, which is being challenged in court.

With the split in Wisconsin’s Senate at 19 Republicans and 14 Democrats, a net turnover of three would change party control.

In the 2010 elections, Walker won the governor’s office while the GOP gained four seats in the Senate, giving them the majority.

How could anyone vote for any Dim that abandoned their post and hid in Illinois rather than vote in the Senate as they were elected to do ?

Many Democrat voters approve of juvenile antics...because they are juvenile themselves.

With 80% reporting, Darling has a 6 point lead: 31,404 to 28,296. Looking good.

Milwaukee County precincts av of 735 votes cast. Ozaukee County about 1000 votes per precinct. Waukesha County about 1200 votes per precinct. IF the turnout numbers remain similar with the rest of the Milwaukee County precincts, Darling is in. 3 Ozaukee County precincts, 1 Waukesha and 12 Milwaukee County precincts left to go.

If Darling survives, it is a huge victory in the face of a MULTI-MILLION $ union funded hit job on her. The unions pulled out all the stops to get voters to the polls, thousands and thousands of phone calls, vans and Speed Queen BBQ to bribe the inner city folks to the polls.

The only thing that worries me now is the absentee vote. That may well be why Milw County is so behind in reporting. Stuffing the ballot box with the needed votes takes time.

The national Republican Party is paying off debt and planning for the war chest necessary to win the main event next year....

Don’t expect help from them, especially if you’re a Tea Party candidate, (they expect you and I will finance their victory.)

HUH? We have a GOP???

A little off subject but yet not. Most of our friends and family are so totally ticked of (I’m trying to be a lady here) at the National GOP. I for one am sickened by the actions of the elite DC cocktail party Boo Hoo Boehners and the Reach Across the Isle McCain, lightfoot Lindsay Graham, Mitch my Bite Me buddie of 30 years McConnell and the arrogant attitude of those who “want to co-opt” the tea party. We are wanting to get some fresh blood there, like our WONDERFUL Senator Ron Johnson. Now THERE’s a guy I could like to see run for prez.

So... no - we have no real GOP - you are right. That disgusting deal of the “super committee” is totally unconstitutinal at best and stupid as worse. It is nearly exhausting to try to keep up with all that is going on and still work - oh yes. We’re the rich, the greedy, the job providers, small business owners of the country.

There are MANY of us fed up with the establishment GOP.

“The national Republican Party is paying off debt and planning for the war chest necessary to win the main event next year....”

Yea, I understand that. But when they let incumbents have to run at a 20:1 disadvantage, the least they can do is, say, make it 10:1. As to the national race...the best they can do is STAY THE HELL OUT. They gave us McCain last time, dumped all their money on him, and thus made sure that our people at the House and Senate level never had a prayer...and thus we have Obamacare.

I never watch MSNBC but this was the only channel that seemed to be covering the results. I watched it for about two minutes, thought I was going to be sick, turned it off and came back to my computer and FR! How can anybody watch that krap.

About that super committee:

I wrote my congress critters and made it very plain, to the point of painfully plain, that I did not vote for them expecting them to turn over important legislation to the likes of Lamarr Alexander, McCain and Murray,Kerry,Baucus.

That unless they got their butts back to DC and rectified that situation they could count on neither my vote or my money next time around.

I explained to them that I voted for them expecting them to do what they were sent to DC to do, not turn it over to the likes of the above.

I hope other conservatives are equally offended by the idea that their vote does not count in this important matter and that others will make their displeasure known.
