Not doing well? Interesting...here in Devon it's the best growing season for many years - cold, warm, wet, dry all happening at just the right times. But that's British cultural diversity for you....
London clay - the worst growing medium on the planet. Been working on the soil here for nigh on 30 years and it is still terrible. Always either too dry or too wet, too salty or too acidic.
Shifting to raised beds for the veg garden at least, so the soil can be controlled better. Also my back is not as good as it was :)
