This is obviously a trend, a method of theft we can expect to grow and spread. It is organized, and not confined to Jamaican "yoots" now, nor is it confined to gang-bangers. Those cordoning off Sharia-zones in London and elsewhere will both encourage and discourage this activity. They are already experimenting with taking advantage of the present situation, as are organized gangs and mobsters.
It's an effective tactic with great possibilities, overwhelming law enforcement and state and private security interests.
This is not a Twitter or Facebook phenomena, among those who are actually organizing. We all know those particular avenues are new-comers. Every kind of electronic communication, from CB radios, landlines, IP chat, ICQ to gmail chat, to "texting" to "you name it," can be cycled through as efficiently as Wave Dimension Multiplexing.
A lot of little minds, out there, are dreaming big dreams, and our police are justified in their concerns.

I suspect the good old American "shoot to kill" looters policies are due for a big comeback.

I hadn’t seen that picture. I’m just seething. Look at who are in those pictures. They’re kids on a damn school holiday! It’s almost 2:00 in the morning over there and my niece called me sobbing because her friend lives in one of the areas hit. It’s so horrible!

I agree. Beat the living crap out of them in front of the others, and then remove their pants as they’re cuffed, leave them their shoes but take their pants. It humiliates them and a guy without his drawers is less likely to feel very tough.
The time will come, in the not too distant future in the burning wreckage of some of our cities, that the people will simply say "enough", and will start slaughtering these idiots wholesale. I'm not being metaphorical in this at all. There will be more blood in the streets, than we've seen in this country for 150+ years. Perhaps afterwards we can rediscover our Republic in the wreckage. I'm not pinning a lot of hope on that though. Despotism is much more likely. It will get even messier then.
They are YUT’s (Young Urban Thugs) or in British terms yob’s basically they are the Brit version of the FSA (Free Sh*t Army ). The Home Secretary is to P.C. to give the cops the back up needed ( the British army with declaration of martial law / curfew from dusk till dawn shoot on sight anyone rioting/looting) to stop this & the P.M. is out of town on vacation .
The question I have is were are the cops who have experience from Northern Ireland ? Were are the rubber baton rounds ,water cannons , tear gas ? Has Britain forgotten everything it ever learned about getting control of riots?
