Durable yes, dispiriting no. If anything, that picture shows good old-fashioned American self-reliance.

One Korean was killed by the mob but they protected most of their stores.

Some of those Koreans were veterans of Vietnam, and you don’t fuck with vets of the Black Horse and White Horse Divisions, and live.
