The 20 black people who live in my town are probably not going to be a problem. As a matter of fact, they are more polite than the white kids.

When I worked in the high school football concession stand, the black kids always called me “sir” and said “thank you”.

I substitute taught for a few months in SE Georgia after I retired. I remember one really large Black kid who looked like he was beefed up on steroids on the football field.

He never gave me any trouble. Once he was acting up a little and I told him to go sit in another chair which he immediately did without protest.

A few weeks after school ended and just before I left that area, he murdered a little 18 year old White girl who was the mother of a six month old baby. Yes she was married. He did this while robbing a video store. No reason at all to kill her. I just did not know him at all. I would never have guessed he would have done that.

In my 35 years of living in the deep south, I've found, on average, southern blacks to be much more polite than those from the NE or upper midwest.

Then again, I've seen southern blacks kicking my college roommate's head in, and I've had a southern black stick a gun in my face.

Never had a white person do either.
