Impact of Tea Party is not entirely clear

ST. LOUIS The Tea Party has grown up.
In effect, that was the message state Sen. Jane Cunningham offered Tuesday night when asked about the overwhelming success of Proposition C, the anti-Obamacare measure that passed more than 2-to-1.
Is this a Tea Party success, I asked her?
Sort of, said the Chesterfield Republican, who managed the media with aplomb at an upscale Town and Country home on election night.
"They got to the point where they weren't just parties in the park anymore," Cunningham said of the Tea Party movement that got going in earnest last summer with grass-roots meetings where anger toward President Barack Obama's administration was fomented by Republican Party regulars who hitched along for the ride. "This was more about the Patriot movement. They were the boots on the ground."
Cunningham's point: The initial success of the Tea Party groups begat new groups, called Patriots, and together, with a little help from the Republican Party, the grass-roots movement in Missouri found perhaps its biggest success yet with the passage of Proposition C.

Would someone please tell me what in the world is Prop C?
I read the whole STL article and this Tony Messenger guy doesn’t even tell what Prop C is. Here it is:
“Proposition C was winning by a ratio of nearly 3 to 1. The measure, which seeks to exempt Missouri from the insurance mandate in the new health care law, includes a provision that would change how insurance companies that go out of business in Missouri liquidate their assets.
“I’ve never seen anything like it,” Cunningham said at a campaign gathering at a private home in Town and Country. “Citizens wanted their voices to be heard.”
A million march to US Capitol to protest against 'Obama the socialist' By David Gardner
Last updated at 6:59 AM on 14th September 2009
As many as one million people flooded into Washington for a massive rally organised by conservatives claiming that President Obama is driving America towards socialism.
The size of the crowd - by far the biggest protest since the president took office in January - shocked the White House.
Demonstrators massed outside Capitol Hill after marching down Pennsylvania Avenue waving placards and chanting 'Enough, enough'.
The Tea Party is making Washington a not so nice place to work anymore. And that’s the point. Make life as difficult as possible for these worthless, spineless politicians. They’ve invented things like unanimous consent, and deem & pass, etc. all in an effort to make life and legislation easy and always to the benefit of themselves.
Hopefully, enough of the old coots will tire of it and retire.
Taking a look at the 2010 election results proves exactly the power of Tea. To ignore this is to be a liar or an idiot... or both.

Prop C was Missouri's response to Obamacare. By 70%-30% Missourians rejected the Obamacare's mandate that people purchase health insurance. State Sen. Jane Cunningham, R-Chesterfield, led the efforts for passage of Prop C.
After passage, Lt. Governor Peter Kinder filed a lawsuit which is currently making its way through the courts.
I would say our impact is very clear and very big.
Thanks A’elian’ nation
