I liked Forbes, and thought Bush would be better on federalism, domestic spending.
I worry that Perry is not as solid and tough as Bush (for all his policy failings). And it will still take a tough smart campaign to beat Obama.
2012 may be our last chance (at least in my lifetime), so I’ll be a broken glass GOP supporter, no matter who it is. I really pray it’s someone good.
The Tea Party does not equal the Republican Party. The Tea Party is not a branch of the Republican Party. The Tea Party should not support any candidate who is not deeply committed to their fiscal goals.
I don't think Mitt Romney or Rich Perry are committed to Tea Party goals. They are typical slick politicians who will tell us what we want to hear, but govern as Establishment Republicans, who will refuse to take political risks if they are elected. They will be in that office primarily to support the special interests of Karl Rove and the Republican Party.
.
Gov. Rick Perry is all about a strong America and that means people working — EMPLOYMENT (like there is in Texas).
Perry’s tackled stifling regulations and lawsuits — addressed the ENVIRONMENT BS. — unions, lawyers and the public sector hate his positions and initiatives.
Perry’s strong on ENERGY.
Perry’s for smart, affordable EDUCATION — the unions and elite professors are up in arms!
Perry says to repeal Obamacare.
Perry says border security must come first and that a wall isn’t going to cut it — that conservative ascendancy is the way.
Perry says to cut taxes, cut regulations, cut spending (as Texas has) — go for the Balance Budget Amendment (just signed one here in Texas — as well as Voter PHOTO ID).

RICK PERRY:
FIRST — “Don’t spend all the money!”
SECOND — “Have a fair and predictable tax and regulatory policy!”
THIRD — “Have a legal system that doesn’t allow for over suing and make loser pay!”
Rick Perry will have long coattails and the support of governors.
We MUST get our ECONOMIC engine fired up.
