Limbaugh Finally Gets It
The Market Ticker ^ | Karl Denninger

Posted on 08/03/2011 4:55:33 PM PDT by Gritty

So this afternoon I'm going to the tag office to renew my vehicle tags, and I have Rush on the radio. I must have been touched by God or something, because just as I turned it on he started with a long monologue on how everything we've had for the last 20 years has been fake.

Cars, houses, flatscreen TVs, unlimited medical care for the poor, Medicare, etc, you name it - all fake.

Oh sure, the car, the TV and the doctor are real - you can touch them. But we never paid for them. We borrowed more and more money.

In short, Rush woke up to the reality of this:

Yes, he put a nasty partisan spin on it but you have to give the devil his due - he finally awoke from his long slumber. For the last several years I've wanted to smash the radio whenever he has gone on his "Republicans good, Democrats bad" mantra when it comes to deficits, taxes and spending.

Well, not today. Oh sure, today he had to say "Obama has been worse", but that's to be expected.

But he acknowledged - for the first time I've heard on his broadcasts - that what we've been doing, and are still continuing to do, not only hasn't worked but can't.

The people are waking up. Oh, it's slow, but they're doing it. And the small number who are awake and really, really *****ed off are going to turn into a very large number of extremely *****ed-off Americans in short order.

With good cause.

We've been sold a bill of goods in America...

Unfortunately 2 readers of an article on an entire thread has become the norm here.

They all get nationalized when the time comes. The ones that don’t play ball get political appointees (commissars?) placed on their boards. The ones that do play ball get to keep their boards in place and get first pick of the slave labor as we step off the trains.

The GOP has betrayed us, too. We can honestly say that conservatives tried to beat socialism within the GOP. But we have to admit, the GOP defeated us...just like they did in the most recent debt deal.

So the GOP gets the credit of conservatives who have been working to overcome the liberals for decades. But in the end both parties joined hands and decided to take a nose dive together while shouting down conservative “extremists” - terrorists, schitzoids, hobbits, taliban, racists, sexists... They did is over and over and over again until we arrived at where we are.

Karl Denninger voted for Obama cause he thought he’d bring the change.

I guess he didn't bother to look at who Obammy's pre-prexy associates were.

Remember marxists fake openly touted goal is a classless society.

The real goal is an elite shepherding ruling class (Inner Party) and then everyone else (Outer Party, Proletariat).

This currently is the process of crushing everyone into the proletariat. Destroying wealth, destroying the middle class.

The super rich (mostly libs) and political leaders are the inner party. some of the stupid and not-so-rich rich, upper middle class, and everything else below, will lose wealth one way or the other and will all be smushed into the proletariat.

Rush gets it & has for years.

Democrat LEADERSHIP gets it, too, and has for years. They KNOW this sh*t doesn't work, but they know that they can seduce those who don't get it with gov't handouts resulting in total addiction to gov't largesse. Dems have done more permanent harm to minorities and indigent poor of all races than can be tallied. And, by convincing so many that they "can't" succeed because of "Whitey" thay have doomed multiple generations to addictive dependency and thereby prohibited them from success; precisely what they accused Whitey of doing.

Let me say it again: The Dem LEADERSHIP understands and knows EXACTLY what they are doing. Their lust (addiction) for power enables them to justify the actual destruction of our once great country.

Ayn Rand was a mediocre philosopher. She’s a brilliant prophetess.

All you can do is be prepared, because our government has sold us out for 30 years, and as of today they're still doing it by shining us on with promises of solutions in the future.

Since FDR the Marxists and their MSM brethren have insisted - insisted - that the only way to show compassion is to confiscate money from the industrious and hand it over to the (primarily) slackers. Conservatives have been branded and marginalized as cruel, hateful and mean because some sought to reign in an eccessive government. The attitude of entitlement prevails and the Marxists and the MSM are trying to keep this fantasy afloat as they have sought to do over the past 60 years.

Think about it, if you were against expanding the federal government you were therefore for dirty water, dirty air, starving seniors, killing minorities, and kicking puppies. People like Karl Denninger - who voted for Obama - and runs around with the liberal set wholly supported this all along.

Where was Denninger on the TV show talk curcuit telling people that although he voted for Obama he was opposed to the debt deal? Where was he?? Oh, NOW he speaks up after the coast is clear and he no longer has any reputation skin in the game. Pffft... Karl, you are playing both ends and talking out both sides of your mouth. In not so polite company we call those people hypocrites.

I love that chart. I laid it on some 0heads the other day. They tried to shoot holes in it and came up dry. Funny stuff.

“First off, Karl, Rush bashes Reublicans all the time”

In the past not enough. Guys like Sean Hannity are in a quandry, he carried the bucket for GW way to long, but now he faces losing a large portion of his audience if he plays the game of ‘this is the best we could hope for’.

Because it's true, moron.

Take a "nasty partisan spin" on this.

Not merely that. Many years ago Colin Clark warned us about the dangers of a birth dearth. Someone has to produce the wealth that other people want to consume. The Economist may sing lyrically about turned silver(hair) into gold. That works —to a degree— if the old are savers like the Japanese. Not if they are spendthrifts like the Baby boomers.

First off, Karl, Rush bashes Reublicans all the time.

I agree with the writer. He didn't do it enough to suit me, and was the exact reason I stopped listening to Rush regularly, about 5 years ago.

We're all being had by both parties. They're good at, "Roping dopes" and attracting the easily led.

Rush was very critical of W (spending, new entitlements, immigration) and Bush Sr (taxes), he even supported Pat Buchanan in one of the primaries.

During 1930’s US gov forced gold owners to sell their gold to US gov. It did not include personal jewelry, religious icons and historical coins. If those items were made illegal, then all jewelry stores will go out of business, churches must turn over their crosses and museums must close their coin displays. The reason FDR seized the gold because the well to do converted their paper certificates into gold bullion and were shipping it out of the US. Since our money was backed by gold that was not good for the US financially, so the feds stepped in and put a stop to that by forcing US citizens to turn in their gold certificates for federal reserve notes, US gold coins, and gold bullion and be paid at $ 16 per ounce.
Today our money is not backed by gold. It would have to be a drastic reason to take privately owned gold without compensation. Majority of the gold is owned by central banks and not private citizens.

The Obamoids are reduced to misinterpreting Rush Limbaugh in order to claim that `all you people are starting to GET The Left.`

It is funny to find Limbaugh once again put in his place (suuuuure he is) by someone with 1/1000th of Limbaugh`s ability and 1/1,000,000th his audience.

It would be theft. Armed robbery. I would hope people would resist by all means.
