The $2.4 Trillion is BO’s “walkin’ around money,” to pay off the Democrat base for the 2012 elections, provided so graciously by the GOP stooges. They are too stupid to lead.

If, as Pelosi anticipates, the $2.4 trillion in new borrowing authority were to last only 18 months that would mean that the Treasury had increased the national debt by approximately $133.33 billion per month during that period. At that rate, the Treasury would be acquiring new debt almost as quickly as it did in fiscal 2010the last completed fiscal yearand more than 50 percent faster than in fiscal 2008, the last full fiscal year in which George W. Bush was president.

(It is possible to both promote Palin and support Bachmann at the same time, ya know.)

You are so right. The country club republican party is such a joke! I think that everyone that voted for the debt ceiling increase should automatically contribute 50% of their net worth to the cause of the increase, just for starters. If it were really THEIR money the increase wouldn't got a single vote!
Didn't I just read an article that the net worth of our politicians had gone up some 366%? Why do they care what happens to the WORKING families?

I still maintain it is time for a 3rd party - the Tea Party. Most here disagree with 3rd party, but we have shown that even with 85 new Freshmen and a compete takeover of the House, can still NOT stop the RATS. It fails to amuse me that both Bernie Sanders and Joe Lieberman are NOT RATS but yet can caucus with the RATS but when Tea Party candidates are brought up it has to immediately be taken off the table because the GOP would lose. Does anyone honestly believe there would be a Tea Party Rep or Senator that would caucus with the RATS? We have to get started somewhere - why not put Tea Party House members on the ballot as an actual political party?
Complete control of the House and the GOP gave us......
1) a Continuing Resolution with $30 million in savings after making a pledge of $100 BILLION and then bragging about it,......
2) a $2.4 TRILLION dollar 'walking around money' check to Obama while not one penny of actual CUTS, while pledging to not vote for it unless it included at least dollar for dollar of cuts for the increase in debt.
I am done with them - no more votes for GOP candidates - America is on it's final leg. OBOZO COULD HAVE BEEN STOPPED DEAD IN ITS TRACKS.
