Do you think there might be some other reasons for the drop as well? Consumer spending down? Manufacturing report terrible yesterday? I think those contributed to the drop as well.
If this cave-in had been the big win it was supposed to be (think CC&B), my gut tells me the market would have produced a big +, not a 266 point drop. Yes, there were other negatives at play, but I doubt they affected the drop that much.
