Ok, they have the Constitutional power to borrow more money, but where in the Constitution does it allow them to create the Super Congress?

This "Super Congress," composed of members of both chambers and both parties, isn't mentioned anywhere in the Constitution, but would be granted extraordinary new powers. Under a plan put forth by Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and his counterpart Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.), legislation to lift the debt ceiling would be accompanied by the creation of a 12-member panel made up of 12 lawmakers -- six from each chamber and six from each party.

Should this new Super Congress proposal be allowed to reach implementation, then the government will have set the precedent that the American people no longer have Constitutional representation, and our government will have morphed into a Soviet style 'polit bureau', where a select few will make decisions for the people and for the country.

You said....

“TRAITORS! Everyone who voted to raise the debt ceiling - ALL TRAITORS! They are NOT upholding the Constitution.”

Maybe you meant “Everyone who voted to create a “Super Congress” - ALL TRAITORS!” but that isn’t what you said.

Votes to raise the debt ceiling have been fairly commonplace - was Reagan a traitor when he supported and signed raises in the debt ceiling?
