NICOSIA, Cyprus, July 19 (UPI) -- Turkish Prime Minister Recip Tayyip Erdogan said Tuesday his country supports a two-state solution for Cyprus if there is no political resolution by next year.
"We will see if this is resolved by 2012 or not. If it is not, we will have to find solutions ourselves," Erdogan told the Anatolian News Agency.
President Dimitris Christofias accused Erdogan of making "incendiary statements," the Famagusta Gazette reported. Christofias said Erdogan's visit to the "pseudostate" in the north is illegal.
"If this is Turkey's official stance, it means they want recognition of the pseudostate," the president said.

unacceptable. Cyprus must find a way to host both ethnic groups. there should be a treaty that links political, ethnic and religious freedoms/protections with the Greeks in Istanbul,Turks in western Thrace and Greeks and Turks in Cyprus.
how do you deal with the mess created by the british? People were ripped out of their homes. The british real estate agents are selling land they do not own.
There is only one republic of cypurus. The north is occupied land by the second puppet government set up by turkey. Even the US courts call it a “failed state”.
Or we could just have the invading Turks leave all of Anatolian Greece.
