You could use a boar spear. The cross-piece keeps the beast from continuing to charge at you after it's been impaled.

I use a Marlin 1895-SS lever action chambered for 45-70 Govt. and shoot P.M.C. 400GR. semi-jacketed flat nose rounds for feral hogs. Out here hogs can be a serious problem but my popgun is a serious solution.
