You lost me when you say they seized your computer, then returned it to you, yet this all happened a couple of hours ago.

If they took your computer, they would have kept it. It takes more than a couple of hours to do a complete forensic analysis and I doubt they would seize your computer unless that was their intent.

I seem to recall he died in the bathroom from smoke inhalation and that something may have been tossed in through a window.
