And the claim was only filed in December.
The marriage ended 8 years ago. This would supposedly be for arrears over that period. The suit was filed 8 mos ago.

The article says the divorce was 8 years ago, but they just filed the claim for unpaid support 8 months ago.

What makes this smell to me is that it is only a lawsuit. I’d be more inclined to believe it if it were a contempt of court action being brought by the Illinois Child Support Enforcement agency.
