First of all, we don't "go into default" unless we fail to service the debt -- there's more than enough monthly revenue to do that.
Other than that, sure. Why not? Better to let Obama act like the petty dictator he wants to be and actually have to do something like set a prioritized budget than to pass a "blank check" debt ceiling agreement that will let him spend even more without having to make a single hard choice.
