I think they are all in a panic over reelection and hanging on to their jobs. The voters are waking up to the smoke and mirrors and realizing how bad the whole situation really is.

As for Geithner, he sets the default catastrophe date for Aug 2, then changes it to the 9 or 10th, his credibility is gone, especially after his refusal to answer questions yesterday on TV.

Part of Geithners problem is being a partisan hack instead of doing the job he was appointed to. Has he been asleep at the wheel knowing the debt was mounting exponentially?
