Intent to gut the military, eh?

I guess this means Obama the private citizen isn’t going to be pleased when President Palin restores it.

No only are we getting the economy of the 1930’s, we’re getting the military of the 1930’s also. Obama, I know how we can cut some defense spending. Cancel all the vehicle orders. We’ll just use horses. Bring back the calvary...

Others have proposed that some direct cuts could come from canceling air craft carrier construction (not surprisingly, the Dems have pointed to the USS George H.W. Bush) as one of the possible candidates for cancelation.

Pretty slick trick to cancel the construction of the USS George H. W. Bush, since it's already on its first deployment.

Hey Zero, the best defense is a strong offense. Weaken the military and you’ve further made the U.S. a third-world country.

This whole story illustrates why the McConnell plan would be such a disaster. Obama would propose the spending cuts to accompany the raising of the debt ceiling, and a 2/3 Congressional majority would be required to override the inevitable veto of their initial vote to deny. Dems always see the DOD as a cash cow.

Now THATS a bright idea. Jimmy Carter did the same...and we were looking at 18% interest rates 12 months later!!

Obama will do anything to save the social programs and gutting the military budget to do that will not cause him to lose any sleep.

In fact, that what I expected that he would do.

He did a pretty good job of starting the "gut" when he repealed "don't ask, don't tell". If I was still military age, I would NOT join what will eventually become a "social experiment". As as time goes buy, we'll become more and more impotent as a military force.

If Obama were honest about his agenda, in whole or in part, he would never get it done. Only lies and obfuscation can foist socialism on the American people. So far he is doing a masterful job. Perhaps brilliant.

The next U.S. president will inherit an economic disaster of a country on an epic scale, courtesy of the bungling of Obama, and his team of advisors.....

The author still doesn't get it. Either that, or he refuses, out of some residual respect for the presidency, to discern the difference between a schlemiel, who is a hapless bungler, and an active saboteur.

Someone clue him in to "Cloward-Piven".
