SCANPIX, via Associated Press Deadly explosions shattered windows on Friday at the government headquarters in Oslo, which includes the prime ministers office. A spokeswoman for Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg said he was safe. More Photos » The police said they did not know if the man, identified in the Norwegian press as Anders Behring Breivik, was part of a larger conspiracy. He is being questioned under the countrys terrorism laws and is cooperating with the investigation, they said.
We are not sure whether he was alone or had help, a police official, Roger Andresen, said at a televised press conference, adding: What we know is that he is right-wing and a Christian fundamentalist. So far Mr. Breivik has not been linked to any anti-jihadist groups, he said.

Ahh...the old “right wing Christian Nationalist” ploy.... beginning to see just exactly whom the NWO/UN has identified as its opposition.
Men are ineligible to join masonry if they have any conviction for an offense greater than 90 days. And murder and treason are forbidden.
You are one of the strangest people on this site. What are your beliefs? Why do you hate Christians? Why are you here in subterfuge?
That is one of the big questions. Some survivors claim at least two shooters. According to one paper a man, 1.80 tall, dark hair, nordic looking, no police uniform, took part in the killing.
Norwegian police has not ruled out a second killer.
However, one should remember that all the witnesses are confused and shocked, and the MSM is running around like head-less chickens looking for new angles, so everything has to be taken with a grain of salt.
Oddly enough, what's going on reminds me of the JFK assasination and how specific and particular information about Oswald emerged quickly from a choatic situation. Something just doesn't smell right here...
No lie. As time goes on, 1940’s era city busting weapons will become a part of our day to day life. Maybe not for another 20+ years, but it’ll happen.
“Gideon’s Trumpet” alert.
The left has been in control for about 10 years and there have been some high profile immigration cases and he could be pissed off at them for letting all the muzzies in Norway.
I hope that is sarcasm. How much time does he have to serve before getting parole, and can he gat time off for good behavior?
No, it isn’t, but you can bet the US press will try to sell it that way. The differences need to be exposed and shown time and again.
At 35 E school, I had a buddy who was dula citizen from Sweden. He witnessed the Prime Minster getting killed IIRC. The guy was out of Swedish Prison in less than 15 years. Imagine if Sirhan Sirhan or Hinkley were out of prison now, free as a bird, living on the government dole.
I wanted to use this as the central point of a facebook post about this to friends. But what is that story actually about?
“police are seeking charges, state broadcaster NRK reported Friday”?
They were arrested last July. The new information seems to just be “police are seeking charges, state broadcaster NRK reported Friday”
If he is some kind of evil genius to bomb and murder 90 single handed, why would a genius put up a Facebook page **5 days before** to incriminate his “beliefs”? This has setup written all over it.
I thought Hinkley did get ‘furloughs’.
No, unfortunately it isn’t. I think if he is sentenced to 21 he can get out after 14, but you’ll have to ask a Norwegian to confirm that.
What did the US Senate do on gun control yesterday? or are you talking about them tabling the budget bill?
Thanks!
So why kill white kids?
First, in Norway there has been a controversy about mosque building for quite a while. Last year Norwegian foreign minister, Jonas Gahr Støre, proclaimed that he will not allow Saudi Arabia to finance or build any mosques in Norway because of the laws in Saudi Arabia that deny basic religious freedoms. This also includes money from Saudi citizens being used for mosque building.
So I doubt that someone with Christianity as his core religious belief would commit such an act of violence. It makes no sense. Certainly it makes more sense that someone sympathetic to Muslims would do such a thing...if the perp is a Muslim, or supporter of Islamic terrorists.
Secondly, I thought that in Norway "right wing" was the opposite of our right wing here. In Europe I thought "right wingers" were the equilivant of our far "left wingers" as related to political ideals. Has this changed? It would not surprise me if the media purposely overlooked the difference and decided to allow it to be misunderstood.
What the police have is immaterial to what the media will report. Remember when Ted Kaczynski was a ring wing nutjob? Even though the police had his manifesto showing he was a left wing environmentalist nutjob, they still reported him as a right winger. Shortly after it was revealed he was a lefty, and right up to today, you never hear about about him. But god forbid anybody forget about the OKC bombing and Tim McVeigh.
Isn't it interesting that whenever it is a muslim fundamentalist, the media makes all kinds of excuses, or say thet they acted alone. They never call for stronger measures against muslim fundamentalists. But as soon as it might be someone with potential "conservative" leanings, we need to ban all guns and investigate all "conservatives". It gets old.
No, that’s not correct. The PM’s murderer has never been convicted. They got one man convicted in a lower court, but the sentence was overturned in the higher court.
I always thought that too!! That it was backwards in Europe as far as political beliefs.
