He did cave on the budget negotiations a couple of months back. That’s why you have to be nervous with him leading the negotiations for the Republicans. I wouldn’t be as doubtful if it was someone like Allen West. But if the freshman class keep enough heat on him, Boehner may not fold. I certainly hope he doesn’t and if he doesn’t, kudos to him.

There’s a certain learning curve for people who’ve never dealt with a pathological narcissist. I can’t fault anyone for being fooled once. By what Boehner’s recently said and done, he seems to have learned his lesson. It’s also quite clear that Boehner is negotiating from a position of strength, unlike Barry.
