Face The NAtion - On the McConnell plan, Bob Schaiffer asks, Why is Congress concentrating on “cover stories” with this plan. Isn’t that the “height of hypocrisy? Durban says, why, yes it is, Bob!

Coburn - Agrees the McConnell plan is a political plan but doesn’t solve the policy problems. He hasn’t decided whether or not he will support it. Right now, he’s tending against it. Proposing his own plan of spending cuts - 9 Trillion.

Marco Rubio up next.

Marco Rubio is a fantastic communicator. I’m glad that he is getting on these shows. Everyone needs to hear his clear discussion of what is ailing our country.

Shieffer tries to go back to “Bush’s fault”, and Rubio quickly responds “When is is going to start getting better, Bob?”

Face The Nation - Rubio - the bigger issue is the debt, not the debt limit. Simply raising the debt limit is not enough, we HAVE to deal with the spending.

Rubio on the McConnell plan - won’t vote for it the way it is structured now. It’s not a credible solution

Schaiffer plays a clip from an interview with Sean Hannity with Rubio saying every aspect of American life is worse with obama and his policies. Bob asks if Rubio believes that. Rubio says yes.

Rubio says the dems/obama strategy to this latest crisis was to let it go to the very last minute then have a take or leave it proposal.

Rubio asks where’s obama’s “plan”. obama has had press conferences, lectures to Congress, still no obama plans.
