Casey Anthony has been released from a Florida jail, 12 days after she was acquitted of murder in the death of her 2-year-old daughter.
Anthony got into an SUV after leaving the Orange County Jail in Orlando early Sunday morning, leaving in the company of her attorney Jose Baez.

Looks matter and always will on who the media determines has coverage...you should know this...it's how it works like it or not. There will equally be those who complain about anyone who is reasonably attractive...as an excuse. The general public wants their heros and their villians and they choose them by giving their attention. Had the public ignored this there would have been no coverage.
Oh yea, blame it all on the media. Newsflash, not everyone watches TV.
I watched the whole trial, live stream (no commentary), did not watch any media coverage, and didn’t even go on any threads here on FR until it was over.
And I still say, she is guilty, the case was made, and the jury failed to do its job properly. So, now how am I a product of a media lynch mob mentality??
The system failed that little girl, the jurors were lazy and stupid.
No, I haven’t.
Just planting the seeds that will eventually result in eliminating trial-by-jury.
Just as the constant harping about the 'popular vote' keeps planting the seeds for eliminating the Electoral College.
Obama/McCain was about eliminating 'natural born citizen'.
McConnell debt deal to turn legislative responsibilities to the executive branch.
Things appear to moving along quite nicely now...
The public is fickle about many things...I agree this will fade. She has no other notoriety, unlike O.J. and others of the hollywood persuasion. A high school dropout and no work history does say she's not one with much ambition other than as a thief and liar. I understand her former friends want nothing to do with her as well. She has made her bed....now she will lay in it. This isn't going to play out well no matter it's duration via the media. She's simply another criminal, guilty or not, gone free.
“What might that say about the media? And what does it say about everyone who thinks they know how this trial was supposed to go?, including me?”
I spoke to a couple of friends who are detectives in the I.D. Bureau of a local police department. One of them raised the point that now, thanks to shows like “C.S.I.”, juries expect a case to be wrapped up, cut-and-dried, in the space of an hour. ( they both thought that the evidence in this case should have convicted her.) I thought that was an interesting point.
I don’t disagree with you; it’s a sad state of affairs.
Which is why she was smiling when they got in the SUV.
Riiigggghhhhtt, she’s really scared. /sarc
I looked at the photos in the link. She didn’t look scared at all, perhaps a but confused, like she was taking direction as to where to go, but not scared or fearful.
And she IS smiling when she gets into the SUV.
From what Ive read Baez says she has been unstable since the verdict and afraid of leaving jail.

From what I saw of Baez’s behavior in court, I wouldn’t believe a single word out of his mouth.
He is the epitome of ‘slimy defense attorney’.
I think that photo is a correct representatioon of Casey’s delight having fooled a great many people and enjoying all the media and “protection” given her. She is accustomed to being taken care of by others, choice or not to her victims, she will use every opportunity to continue the ride she is on.....
No matter how Casey’s life goes or the media displaying it...this is one very twisted woman and I’m of the mind there will not be any long term mental health facility she will endure for much more than a few weeks, once the idea she is really free sets in to her twisted mind...and she has some cash in her pocket...she’ll be out of there in no time flat.
“She might not be in jail, but, shell never be truly free again, not in this life time.”
Oh, please. People that get wrapped up in pop culture are prone to fads and she is just a fad. Those people will have forgotten about her in about one month. Hundreds, perhaps thousands, of other children were killed and not a peep out of those following this story.
Mike CZ is that you? Seriously though, casey WAS a party girl. Who the hell goes out to the clubs after their child is missing or killed (either accidently or pre-meditated murder)? Her sleeping around with guys and boozing it up in the clubs is what makes her correctly identified as a party girl. If you personally know girls that are in the clubs 4-5 times a week, it says a lot about the company you hang around with and you’re probably a 20 something person with no regard for responsibility.
The short deliberation time for such a complicated circumstantial case says a lot.

Exactly. Like the OJ jury, short deliberation time on a case like this is really improper and shows they didn’t deliberate at all.
And like OJ, I wonder if Casey will come out with her own version of “If I Did It”.
“Who are these freaks that have the time or the desire to go protest? “
Drama Queens. They didn’t protest the other parents that killed their children during this time. Only the popular Casey trial gets their attention.
Are you Alt Juror #14? Pink blouse and jeans... Yeah she was tarted up for sure.
if .... Caylee had a cleft palette.
DO NOT TELL ME YOU JUST WROTE THAT. Cleft palate babies are children too (and often very cute).
I have a cleft lip and palate and I’m adorable. Even got media attention (newspapers and TV) as a child because of my cleft lip/palate.
I also got a reply from Mike CZ and I do believe that poor mike os thinking with the wrong head.
When you are smitten with a figure shape and put that above all else I suspect that your judgement would be slanted.
I do know is as much work is spent on that selection ,by attorneys, as is sometimes the case itself.

I can see that happening. Both sides have a set of characteristics that they are looking for in jurors, and they can be very narrow. Part of the problem is there are too many excuses without cause allowed. This helps the picking and choosing of the jury pool to fit a subjective criteria rather than an objective jury.
Thank you.
