Trump: Republicans Are 'Terrible, Frightened' Negotiators
FOX ^ | July 14, 2011 | Donald Trump

Posted on 07/15/2011 8:27:12 AM PDT by george76

DONALD TRUMP: Right. Well, the Republicans are doing another el foldo. They did one during the lame duck session, where they brought Obama, like a phoenix he rose again. He was gone. It was over. And all of a sudden, they just allowed him back into the game.

And now they're doing another one but at a much higher level. This is incredible. They had all of the cards. Now, they haven't made this deal yet, but from all indications, it looks like they're frightened. It looks like they're scared. And it looks like they're just folding.

VAN SUSTEREN: Why?

TRUMP: I have no idea! And they are making Obama look so great. It's just incredible. The fact is the Republicans are terrible negotiators.

...

TRUMP: The fact is, Greta, they are terrible, terrible, frightened negotiators. And I just can't believe they are doing this.

” TRUMP: The fact is, Greta, they are terrible, terrible, frightened negotiators. And I just can’t believe they are doing this.”

I CAN believe it, and predicted it.

Trump’s a loudmouthed con-man who’s lost more other people’s money than anyone I know will ever make. Thanks george76.

The man has it right.

The Republican leadership DOES NOT DESERVE to have their “Leadership” positions by the demonstration of their recent actions. It is despicable!

You can say the these “Leaders” may accurately ‘reflect’ the majority of their side of the legislative bodies (the people in the Senate and House who voted them to be their “Leader”).

Trump may be a liberalish douchebag, but I have to say he’s probably right.

Time will tell.

Still doesn't come close to negating what he's saying here. He's absolutely right about this.

He’s right. Republicans want to be politicians instead of leaders.

The fact is the Republicans are terrible negotiators.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Yep! They are!

What they should do is decide on bedrock Constitutional principles, then send in Trump to make the deal.

These Republican weenies should stay out of any room where negotiating in taking place. Let Trump do the job.

GOP is MUCH happier playing a back bench role, selling their votes for whatever crumbs the Rats will drop to them. The “it’s my turn” mentality that the GOP is locked into leaves the party bereft of leadership ability. jmo

Trump needs to either get in the game or STFU.

I’m sick of him pretending to care about the success of the Republican agenda while trashing the guys doing the heavy lifting.

I've been wondering what Trump has to say about these negotiations - something he definitely knows about.

It would be disgusting if that community organizer, who is clearly dead wrong, out maneuvers us when we have the majority of Americans disagreeing with more spending.

It’s easy to understand the fear.

The number one priority for the Republicans involved in the negotiations is saving their job. They don’t care about doing the right thing, or fixing the problem, they want to save their job.

So, the GOP’ers face a petulant Marxist, and a news media that makes Pravda look like it was fair and balanced. The best plan for the GOP’ers is to capitulate. In the past, the Republicans would have struck a deal by now, giving the Democrats most, if not all, of what they want.

The complication is, the Tea Party is watching. If Republicans capitulate, they’re done, many will lose their jobs. If they take a hard line, Pravda will crucify them, and they may lose their jobs.

The GOP’ers are so scared they don’t know if they want to crap or wind their watch.

I heard yesterday that Trump's been tweeting excerpts from his "Art of the Deal" book to Boehner, for what that's worth!
