These are the RINOs in the Senate. Boehner doesn’t care what they say. No new taxes, period. Good bit of misdirection here for the Dems, I think.

Boner is in on it no doubt. The cave has plenty of room and they are all ready for the big Cave in.

Hoping you are right. This thing is not a game played straight out cards on the table, intentions clear. Take anything said in almost the opposit meaning. I do not think these statements are for “our” consumption, rather to run the liberal elites through the wrong door. Boner and Mac look like better poker players than Lil Timmy, Say it ain’t so Joe and Eat Yo Peas.

Besides they still have to get whatever is cooked up past the House.

I think you’re right. Not only is Boehenr saying no tax increases, he knows he couldn’t get them through the House even if he wanted them.

“No new taxes, period.:

I’ve been thinking about that. Suppose it came down to passing a new budget with $4 trillion in spending cuts with social security and medicare being put on firm financial footing and all we had to give up in exchange was that the hedge fund managers lost their right to be taxed at less than half the rate everyone else pays. Wouldn’t we agree to that?
