They should have recognized that she, of all people, say, on a team, will be the last to go down in defeat- not if she can help it.
Her 'mama grizzly' attitude is to be expected from one raised in the Last Frontier where bears-no-longer-found-in-the-lower-48 thrive and will defend their territory, as will moose and others (wolverine, anyone?). Learning about Alaska and it's inhabitants teaches one about survival, strength, and attitude- abundant in all the animals mentioned above.
How any of this translates into candidacy for President may be difficult to explain, but I'll try. Yet, it speaks volumes toward the lack of qualification apparent in our current Community Organizer in Chief- loafing through Law School (in loafers, no doubt) which cannot compare to living in the wild where Grizzlies and Moose roam freely. These 'beasts' exercise their 'natural rights' daily to the benefit of themselves and their offspring. As Nature intended, but what, did Nature intend for us, you rightfully ask?
The typical U.S. citizen of late does not enjoy natural rights- only those good for the 'collective' and that is where the rubber no-longer meets the road. Our government is so big and intrusive that our 'natural rights' have become museum pieces- something we long for but will never realize again. Redacting the Commerce Clause may be our only hope, but I digress.
We live in cages built by legislatures, courts, and bureaucrats which, it should come as no surprise, many will accept, as they accept the hand-outs thrown in by our keepers at timed intervals to prevent starvation. This is not America by any means. And, I'll not 'get used to it'.
Lucky for us Sarah grew up in Alaska where the natural existence of many competing entities exists on a large scale (bigger and badder than Texas, I might add). Otherwise, she might be as shallow in perception as the Chicago Hustler with a hard-on for unions who fails to see the 'competing' forces at work in a society poised to rip them to shreds in order to survive- (enter mama and daddy grizzly stage left).
Sarah brings something unique to the political landscape that others do not. She's familiar with natural rights and their relationship to events that ultimately determine 'happiness'- be it bears, wolves, moose, or humans.
It'll take a lot of work putting the train back on the track but it can be done. Of all those seeking the nomination in 2012, Sarah is the only one connected to these rights that we-the-people are supposedly endowed and, has all the fight necessary to 'bring it' to those who, for decades, have gone unchallenged.
Should we fail this next election, we'll have to abandon the monikers American and America. Because we'll no longer be. Perhaps we could lend it to Chile or some other entity that has demonstrated an adherence to rights that we've discarded. Be afraid, be very afraid. Someone is raising a billion dollars to bury us. And that 'someone' is in constant campaign mode and will spend it 'wisely'.
If we go with someone other-than-Sarah my hope of defending America goes with it. I'll cope as I always have over the years, but will make purchases necessary to make defending my territory a priority. I can go grizzly. I really can.
“Sarah brings something unique to the political landscape that others do not. She’s familiar with natural rights and their relationship to events that ultimately determine ‘happiness’- be it bears, wolves, moose, or humans.”
And this identifies another reason that libs fear her. She will help restore this aspect of “America” the Left has spent years ‘educating’ out of society at large. Don’t need to depend on govt. when you can depend on yourself.
