“People should be free to organize if they want.”

I think the resentment against unions stems from the fact that they prop up the entire Democratic party.

That, and they keep people from getting a job in some instances.

I for example wanted to work as wait staff at a certain restaurant. I couldn’t do it unless I joined the union; the union wouldn’t let me sign up unless I worked there; Catch 22.

No job.

Of course a friend or family of the union member would have been accepted. So unions get hated for that, too.

I'm not sure this analogy works but what if instead of applying for that job you were wanting to move into a neighborhood with an home owners association but you did not want to join the the home owners association?
