I think it is used when an individual is able to behave relatively normally most of the time and then go into a killing rage after some sort of "stressor." Like being told by his ex-wife to leave her alone.

There is no mental disorder...it is called demonic possession...something most doctor’s are unable to see or deal with. So they are medicated and when that wears thin, the demons take over with even more strength over their host.
