We've attempted to pass a "paycheck protection" measure a few times in CA. Each time it's been voted down after an onslaught of union ads. Ads which were paid for by special dues assessments.

Big Labor is a criminal enterprise.

In CA, if you want to teach (or other work another public job... police, fire, etc) you're required to pay dues whether a member or not. You will never see the money because dues are pre-deducted just like taxes.
