Exactly right. It only takes one article a day around here for people to condemn the entire law enforcement community. If there's proven wrong doing, I'll be the first to string the cop up. But to use an overused phrase, a few bad apples do not spoil the bunch.
There are hundreds of thousands LEO's in the USA. Of course you're going to get some a-holes.

Let me (attempt to) leave it at this: police today have an image problem, deserved or not, and it is getting worse fast. As I said earlier, I might not have been making these posts a short time ago but things have happened lately, things to which I am privy with first hand knowledge, which have brought this fact home to me in spades.
Police need to fix it themselves. I can’t do it for them.
