Better duck, Clive.
An alarming number of FReepers have become anti-liberty on this one, and would rather see the State’s burden to imprison and execute made easier.
I’m willing to let guilty people walk free if it will prevent innocent people from being convicted. It’s a trade-off a free society must make.

One more thing ... the vilifying of the jury is setting a very dangerous precedent. In the OJ trial there was a racial component and I believe the jury was prejudiced because of it. In this case I don't believe there was anything outside influence that was swaying the jury. However, if a potential future jurist sees the treatment that this jury is getting via the media. That future juror may be loathe to rule in the favor of the defendant as a result of public pressure. That is contrary to the concept of an "impartial" jury. To all those Freepers who want to vilify this jury ... I say ... think about what would happen if a jury was afraid to find a defendant not-guilty because of public pressure ... that is one slippery slope I'm sure we don't want to go down

Bingo. I’ve already been called “too stupid to vote” by idiots that just point to this or that without discussing how courts work.
It’s simple: the prosecution, in this case, DID NOT prove BEYOND a reasonable doubt that Casey killed Caylee. The defense did their job of introducing doubt.
I’m not commenting on what I think happened or who did it or how stupid the jurors are, I’m just stating fact.
For that I get slammed by so-called conservatives here at FR that are clearly leading with their emotions (like libs).
