In 1988, the Democrats were DEFINED by Jimmy Carter - picking a national party for someone who CLAIMS to be a conservative was not very difficult.
And by the way, I don’t remember Reagan chairing any Democratic campaigns...but perhaps you do.
As to Amnesty - you sound like you’re for OPEN BORDERS, which explains a lot here. As to myself, I didn’t support Amnesty in 1986 and I don’t now.
Not just open borders. He LOVES crony capitalism. Oh, and he HATES a certain prospective candidate who stepped all over his Murkowski gravy train.
