Let me see...
Americans hate Obamacare and how it was passed.
Americans don't like Obama's policies at all.
The economy has not rebounded, and unemployment is stuck above 9%.
I'd say it's far from beeing wrappped up for him, with his record, he's going to need a miracle to win in 2012.
They also claim that there is an evil conspiracy, that the RINO GOP is manipulating the MSM and the party, etc,,. Romney (And Rove) is plotting to have Bachmann, (Who is secretly involved with his plan) split the Conservative vote so he can win like McCain did, etc,,,.
But don't worry, you will never hear me use that term again here. And even though there are several here who believe some of the things I listed above, you won't hear me trying to insult them or drag them into a fight. It's just not what needs to be done if we hope to win this coming election. (I also believe that it won't be as easy as some think it will be.)
That's very magnanimous of you. I had suspected from reading your posts that Perry was exactly the type of candidate you were looking for. Not so much for me, I'm afraid.
It sure would be a shame if you had to be reminded of these words on the next Palin thread.
Howdy there good lady!
How are you on this fine day! (Good as usual I’m sure)
I am also sure you have been following all the exciting events on this thread also. But a reminder to keep it great and civil like you usually do. And don’t let misinformation go away unanswered.
This article is one of the best breakdowns to date on Gov. Perry’s record. I just had to get it out there. Some of these points will come in handy later. (If you catch my drift LOL!)
We all have our differences, what matters most is that we express them with dignity and respect. It’s never too late to learn or understand.
I see something in Perry that I was not aware of until recently. I am still not sold however. For one, he has to actually commit to the race and become a candidate first. But I am researching and looking at him very intensely.
So far, I like what I see, (Not all of what I see.) but in today’s world he seems to have the right stuff to actually clean up this mess.
Again, more time and information is required.
No. He must sufficiently address the issues
of Gardasil and open border.
Until then, he is a Rove-created RINO subservient
to illegal aliens and Big Pharma.
I’m not psyched about Perry but if he gets in I think he will steamroll over the other GOP candidates, take the nomination and kick Barry’s azz in a landslide. The guy gives a good speech and he is so darn good looking. He did say that the first 100 days of a Perry Presidency would see the closure of the EPA and the Dept of Educ. A good start.
Rove worked with Kay Bailey to oust Perry in the primaries.
You may now resume your regularly scheduled hysterical anti-Perry rantings...
Perry makes exceptions when it comes to the practice of child-killing.
Which is explicitly unconstitutional.
“No person shall be deprived of life without due process of law.”
“No State shall deprive any person of life without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.”
Saying you’re “pro-life with exceptions” is like saying you’re pro-marital-fidelity with exceptions, only worse.
What part of “no person” do these “pro-life” “Republicans” fail to understand?
I just heard someone on the radio say that Perry has the authority to give a 30 day extension to someone on death row. I distinctly remember from Gov Bush’s time in office that we were told it was 3 days because he caught hell from the libs about that.
Not to change the subject but yesterday I was driving from Manchester to Milford NH on 101W and saw about 12 Rick Santorum signs and no one elses. Looks like “game on” in NH.
This is a totally crap article.
The media has told me Imam Hussein would fear John Huntsman the most.
Why should I listen to a blogger in PJs?
Moochelle and Obama -— Perry can boot these moochers out of the White House. He can beat Bammy Boy easily by 20 points
This isn’t Perry’s first execution.
Oct 2009: “In nearly nine years as Texas governor, Rick Perry has never spared a life based on a claim of innocence and only once delayed an execution in such a case, according to a Chronicle review of public records, clemency statistics and information from the governor’s office.
During that same period, officials in other death penalty states granted clemency for humanitarian reasons at least 200 times 171 based on questions of innocence in Illinois alone.”......

July 5, 2011.......”Acting without a pardons board recommendation, Gov. Rick Perry could grant a 30-day stay. His spokeswoman, Katherine Cesinger, said the governor has not yet decided, but historically he rarely grants such requests.”........

I knew someone would correct me if I was wrong. :)
If Perry were to be the nominee what do you think the Rove camp would do? Would there be support, silence or sabotage?
Also, I seem to recall when Bush ran the first time there was carping that he couldn’t take so much credit for the good economy because the Governorship in Texas was not that powerful and the power was with the Lt. Governor. Anybody remember that claim? Just funny how the same things keep coming up.
“Thirdly, Perry has very little international expertise or experience.
Michelle Bachman seems a more sound candidate, “
Bachman doesn’t have any “international expertise” and what more, she doesn’t have any executive experience or a record to run on either. The Dems would take her apart like Humpty-Dumpty in the general elections.
I remember that claim and someone will correct me if I am wrong, but I believe Rick Perry WAS Lt Gov. when Bush left the office of gov.
“To, me Hes in the group with Bachmann, Cain and possibly Palin...not the old guard of Newt, Santorum and Romney. The establishment folks we are sick of tired to oust Perry last year by supporting Kay Bailey Hutchinson.”
Agree...except that I think Santorum would be fine. But he’ll never win with that name (just the breaks in politics).
“You mean the same Texans who re-elected him 3 times?”
Considering his was essentially unopposed, it’s not too hard to win.
He never even ran for governor in an open election. He was elevated there when W became president.
