I don’t see this case as one with the constitution in the balance and yes most class A felony cases which actually go to trial are presented as much through a preponderance of circumstantial.
And most....vast majority are found guilty
I have a fair amount of courtroom time myself at all perspectives criminal and civil and have found it works great circumstantial or not
I don’t like folks telling me what to do except my wife...I’m sure you are a wonderful mom and I did not criticize that but find your pronouncement a bit odd for a woman mommied up enough to call herself mom on the forum
Every mom I know despises this verdict...without exception
But because this case happens to be the one on which our vampire tabloid media decided America needed to obsess over, millions are outraged by this verdict and this verdict alone.
I despised the state’s investigation, prosecution tactics & the judge way before the verdict came in. I despise when people do a crappy job & have a poor ethic, especially when they are in our criminal justice system. I despise the fact the jury had no choice, if they were honest, but come up with any verdict other than the one they did. Circustantial evidence is fine, but, like I said, when the circumstantial creates more questions than answers, THEN there is a problem.
