IIRC, the prosecution did not use a jury consultant. I bet they will the next time a high profile case comes along.

The prosecution is more hamstrung than the defense when it comes to challenges. It's much easier for the defense to convincingly argue that a juror may be biased against his client, than it is for the prosecution to argue that the potential juror is biased in favor of his client. The prosecution has a de facto limitation of using it's three peremptory challenges and that's it.
