Morning all, didn't see a thread for today so I created one.
Thanks so much for all your pings—Mark Fuhrman is right! Also found the comments by Cindy’s own brother incredibly thought provoking. Been out of town all day, just getting home, and it looks like the karma is hitting the fan. Wonder how these jurors will feel once it’s known that she was certainly guilty of at least the manslaughter or child abuse charges, and they just let her walk. Double jeopardy prevents re-trying this, and no one with standing will likely take her to civil court.
LOL. I’m not in any position to do that. Manana, manana for SURE. :-)
Your friends’ and the Anthonys stories are really tragic. Parents have no clue about how to deal with a child like that, so, to conform with societal norms, do that cover up till it is their ‘norm,’ so they live a lie for decades.
I really think there are just ‘bad seeds,’ and there is little the families can do about them. In those cases, I don’t think bad parenting per se is at fault so much as parental adjustments that arise from coping with a child like that. They all become very good at lying to everyone, most of all themselves.
This has probably been talked about (since I got here so late) but I asure don't remember any neighbor saying they heard noise in the pool on the 16th. Has anyone else on the thread heard that reported or brought up at trial?
I judge Cindy and George on what they do on the record...on the street, in front of the media, on the witness stand. They don’t stand up too well in any of those places IMO. They lie, they perjure, they obstruct for the “love” of their daughter who might benefit by just once paying for what she does.
Neither you nor I know what the Anthony Clan does behind their closed doors and to give them some benefit of the doubt that they behave better or differently in private than they do in public is IMO absurd. IMO they have shown a veneer of love for Caylee that hasn’t really been followed up by any expression of REAL love for her. Not by their actions regarding the murder, the investigation, or the trial.
Caylee had no family member in that courtroom representing her. She had no one but us strangers and the State of Florida to represent her. It doesn’t get sadder than that.
I had a troubled daughter for a number of years, too and had to deal with giving her “tough love.” It wasn’t easy on me in the least...especially having to send her 1000 miles away to live with her father because when she was a teen I could not handle her at all. It hurt me. But due to that move she turned out really well and my pain was worth it.
IF ONLY Cindy had ever made that sort of gesture to benefit Casey rather than to make lame excuses and cover up her bad behaviors we might not have a dead Caylee to talk about today.
If you read all those emails, there is one from Cindy to Rick in which SHE states she didn't know neighbors said they heard noise from the pool on the 16th.
So is that the REAL story, is that the invented "cover" story? It was a little unclear with all the lies, reading between the lines, etc.
Actually I don’t wwant a do over. The thought of BAEZ and his filthy mouth in court again turns my stomach. I still have a glimmer of hope that society will not make a Celeb out of her. We had years of OJ shenanigans. But, as with OJ I have no doubt this psychopath will not be on the street for to many years. She steals friends check and credit cards etc etc. She even took her BF’s car after she dumped the death mobile. He chewed her out over that.
She has no way of making money (legally) she will revert to what she knows. Lying and Stealing. ANYONE that lets her get close is crazy.
caww, my guess is that they deliberated over the possible book deals that might come their way. They sure as heck didn’t spend much time on the CASE.
Hi, I read the emails between Cindy, Rick, and Shirley years ago and again last week. I see no point in trying to change minds at this point. People believe what they want to believe and to hell with proof or facts.
To tell you the truth I’m getting sick and tired of the number of immature whiners and out and out kooks posting on this forum.
Yes, there WILL be justice for Caylee. As disappointed and disheartened as we are about a precious, innocent child being murdered and discarded like the day's trash, I also know that there is a God in Heaven for whom all things are open and where nothing is hidden or secret to him. He will be the final judge and he will avenge the wrong that has been done here and in all others as well.
Hebrews 10:30-31
For we know him who said, It is mine to avenge; I will repay, and again, The Lord will judge his people. It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
Wouldn’t this be jury misconduct? Anyone know?
Casey also has a $68,500 IRS tax lien from 2008.
Yep, I am too. You’ll be getting a FReepmail as soon as I get the energy to send it.
It’s apparently the best we can get in Florida. Blame Judge Perry for quite a bit of it. Nancy Grace said he forced at least 4 jurors on the State...people they rightfully objected to having on that jury. Judge Perry had an ugly sex affair going on in the 1990’s. Paid some chick off for $65,000 so she would not sue him. He doesn’t walk on water by any means.
well....she’s got that bella vita (beautiful life) tattoo donchyaknow - cuz it was a tribute to her daughter’s short and beautiful life - and so, like, she LOVED her right? /s
Well, I’d like a do-over. Won’t happen, so the best we can hope for is that other legal issues hound the Anthonys into oblivion, that Baez gets disbarred, and the jurors get penalties for disregarding jury instructions.
If you haven’t heard, TMZ is reporting that one of the “jurors” - and I use that term loosely - is already entertaining a five-figure offer to sell his story. He is a 33 year old white married man with two children.
It is a family well versed in the script. Everyone knows their part, even Lee. The family alliances are complex, changing as the situation changes.
They all have Caylee’s death hanging over their heads.
BTW, I read that Rick had disowned his own son. His mother made a point of saying he was adopted.
