“[Section] 5. The Congress shall have power to enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of this article."

Care to explain this to us Tiny Tim the Tax Cheat? You crooked slimy little twerp!

Exactly. Even if this interpretation of Section 4 of the 14th Amendment is correct, Section 5 makes it clear that the President can not unilaterally implement this interpretation. He must either get the courts to rule in his favor or get the Congress to raise the debt limit.

What's or who is going to stop Obama? Huh? Nothing, as I see it!

Not even one person with any authority or influence stopped him from getting on the ballot when it was well known that he was NOT a natural born citizen and maybe not even a citizen at all.

Not one with authority or influence has issued so much as a peep about TWO crudely FAKE birth certificates, fake social security number, missing or “lost” FOIA documents, or the fact that not even one student can be found who remembers Obama’s presence on campus.

Of the following NOT even ONE person has raised an objection or done anything serious about Obama’s ineligibility, the rule of law, and the Constitution, so why would they care about a merely little debt ceiling? These people are:

Every governor, every legislator ( state and federal), judges, the Supreme Court, the entire electoral college, every attorney general and secretary of state, and all law enforcement agencies (state and federal). The mainstream media and the major conservative outlets have been nearly silent. And...Our highest military, some who attended famous academies with so-called “honor codes”, have done their best to ignore a usurper dressed in the office of Commander in Chief.

So?...Why should this be different. Who's going to stop him?

Just wait until 2016, when he cancels the Presidential Election with some excuse like calling for martial law or United Nations law, and appointing himself for a 3rd term. All in the name of saving the U.S.A.

Oh and it was crazy to think a guy with a Kenyan father would sneak his way into the White House too.

Anything and everything is possible.

“I’m not a Supreme Court justice, so I’m not going to put my constitutional law professor hat on here.”

Ummm ... he doesn’t really have a constitutional law professors hat. He was nothing more than a glorified TA.

He is doing everything he wants by fiat regardless of our wishes. The congress is a mere annoyance to him.

4. The validity of the public debt of the United States, authorized by law, including debts incurred for payment of pensions and bounties for services in suppressing insurrection or rebellion, shall not be questioned.”

The words "authorized by law" contained in Article 4 clearly establishes congress' role in setting a debt limit. Anyone foolish enough to buy debt issued above the limit authorized by law, even if the president tries to do so, would be running the real risk of loosing their investment.

Obama and company will make any Constitutional argument they can, if it helps them to get a self-serving outcome. They will leave no stone unturned and will have no dignity whatsoever, and their media surrogates will push the narrative. That’s why our side must never tire and keep the administration as honest as we can.

‘Cuz if he does, some of them just might not participate in the next golf outing with the idiot-in-chief. Maybe.

Or, send obummer a strongly written letter in ten point bold with some words underlined to show that he really, really means business.

It is time to enforce the constitution regardless of the so-called pressing need to bend it.

No question.

I think the way to convince some of the Rats this is essential is to point out that once the precedence is set a conservative POTUS will do the same.

He cant even get the courts to rule in his favor.

It states that ONLY CONGRESS shall have the power. He gets some court to rule in his favor, then we the people, can disobey each and every law ever passed in this country.

Let em try.

The courts can get involved if they are authorized to do so by the Congress. When people claim that their rights under the 14th Amendment has been violated by a State or local government, they sue under 42 USC 1983 (which was enacted by the Congress). So if the Liberal Messiah can find a similar statute, then He can have the courts get involved.

To that I agree..if only Congress get the courts to get involved.
He cannot do diddly squat without the approval of congress no matter what any statute says. Matter of fact..the congress can order the courts to rule, and to rule the way the constitution reads.

He tries what I think he going to try, and we might very well see secession and another civil war.
