I would like to hear his reasons for ending the Bush tax cuts, but as far as supporting the automobile companies - he is from 11th Mich. Livonia and surrounding areas. That's basically west Detroit. He can't tell most of his constituents to screw off. He gets a pass on that.
On taxes and the struggling economy, Perry said he believes that the government should cut the taxes. You cut the regulations, and you let the free market again become a very powerful engine of economic growth.
The Bush tax cuts, which expire at the end of the year, should be made permanent, he said.

There were better ways to save GM than screwing the bondholders and taxpayers and giving GM to the UAW. He gets no “pass” from me.
