U.S. forces are still flying hundreds of bombing raids over Libya even though the Obama administration claims that American armed forces are only playing a limited role in the conflict.
Since NATO’s Operation Unified Protector took over from the American-led Operation Odyssey Dawn on 31 March, the U.S. has flown hundreds of strike missions, according to United States Africa Command (AFRICOM).
The White House originally claimed that U.S. planes were mostly providing intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance and played down the number of bombing raids.
However AFRICOM spokeswoman Nicole Dalrymple said: 'U.S. aircraft continue to fly support missions, as well as strike sorties under NATO tasking.

Anybody who knows NATO knows that the US has to be the main player in any nato combat ops. The US owns the lions share of NATO’s combat forces, and the other NATO members have all kinds of reservations about injuring anything at all. That’s what makes them such useless allies. We fund nato, staff nato, provision nato, fight nato’s wars, and, if nato blood is shed, it is 99% of the time American blood.

All those pilots are subject to wrongful death law suits in even USA courts due to this is not a “war” (according to the CIC himself), it has no Congressional authorization, Libya poses no risk to national security or affairs of USA, etc. Bambi would be the first to sell out out pilots and other military operatives when the stuff hits the fan.
