According to the Constitution, international treaties are the law of the land.

Treaties cannot abrogate what is in the constitution. If you want to do that you have to have a constitutional amendment.

ONLY insofar as the treaty does NOT VIOLATE OR ABROGATE ANY PART OF THE CONSTITUTION. None of the founding Dads were interested in seeing their handiwork undone by a treaty with some foreign power.
