LOS ANGELES (CBS) Despite the objections of his neighbors, Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa has ordered city officials to proceed with a plan to erect a six-foot wall around the mayors mansion.
The wall which would flank the sides of Getty House in Hancock Park recently drew the ire of local residents in February when Villaraigosa filed a request for a local variance that prohibits any fencing that exceeds 42 inches in height.
A proposed design for the wall includes embedded security features...

Embedded security devices = broken glass bottle shards embedded in the top of the wall.
Keeping it real, Amexican style.
His name is a combination of his and his wife’s maiden names. For a long time it was hyphenated, then they dropped the hyphen. The gypsy connection is news to me, sounds like a reach.
If a Republican mayor of Los Angeles tried this, he’d have a dozen lawsuits on him by lunchtime and the crews doing the work would be served restraining orders by city, county, state, and federal authorities by 1:15 pm.
He (Villaraigosa) went to Cuba in the radical Venceremos Brigade to help Castro's Communist revolution.Interesting little group (per wiki).
The Venceremos Brigade is a politically motivated international organization founded in 1969 by members of the Students for a Democratic Society and officials of the Republic of Cuba.I wonder what number Bill Ayers is on Villaraigosa's speed dial?
'series', I really miss the good old days. Back when Communist Traitors where put in prison or worse -- like the Rosenbergs. And WE KILLED COMMIES on the battlefield using overwhelming force and without a lick of remorse.
('Uniformed' or not. SAT CONG!)
“Villa” was a leftist gangster at UCLA.
The V guy is doing what all the rich and middle class in latin america do. They build big walls around their houses to keep out the riff raff.
No doubt the V guy is not in favor of a wall at the southern border.
A wall for me, but not for thee.
Rank hypocrisy.
Let him build the wall supertight. Then fill the inside with water.
Liberal politicians like Ted Kennedy, John Kerry, Nancy Pelosi, etc. build a fence or wall around their estates, but yet they say it won’t work at the border.
I’d love to see a reporter interview one of these guys and ask they why they build a wall around their own property.
