I've been watching this closely as well and I really think you are on to something here. Most reasonable people would have agreed to the compromise that dayton was offered.

Digging his heals in and shutting the government down over that tax increase when he got almost all of his spending makes no sense at all.

We also have the Governor's mental health to consider and I'm not trying to joke or make light of his condition. There is genuine concern from some that deal with him on a daily basis.

Good observations Pinta!

My understanding is that the Legislature accommodated the governor’s request for more spending with a 13% increase but no tax increase; and Dayton is insisting a 24% spending increase along with a tax increase, as well.

This whole thing is being orchestrated by Obama as a trial run for next month. Just like the stunts in Wisconsin earlier in the spring.

Ok then I will.... Hey Minnesota dimwits, guess what, you elected a psycho as guv'ner. No wonder his previous 2 (or was it 3) wives divorced him. Can you imagine waking up in the middle of the night and seeing his psycho eyes just blankly staring at you? I bet his ex-wives went SCREAMING for the door, to get away from psycho Mark Dayton. The guy is certifiable CRAZY.
