Minnesota state government goes into shutdown as budget talks end without deal on $5B deficit.
Talks between Democratic Gov. Mark Dayton and top Republicans fell apart well before a midnight deadline. Dayton demanded tax increases on top earners, but the GOP refused.

I suspect more than that. See post 91.
Ok then I will.... Hey Minnesota dimwits, guess what, you elected a psycho as guv'ner. No wonder his previous 2 (or was it 3) wives divorced him. Can you imagine waking up in the middle of the night and seeing his psycho eyes just blankly staring at you? I bet his ex-wives went SCREAMING for the door, to get away from psycho Mark Dayton. The guy is certifiable CRAZY.
True, but if your income is generated in Minnesota, you will still pay Minnesota state income taxes on your Minnesota income. Any interest earned in Minnesota, any capital gains in Minnesota, are all taxed at Minnesota rates. The only way you get out of it is if you have no Minnesota generated income.

“So do Democrats plan to just keep raising taxes until they take 100% if the income of the anyone who is a producer?”
There is an infinity of numbers higher than 100, so they’ll keep going. You’ll just be billed for the difference.
“Do you really think people would care if they could only get a drivers license or registration just M-Th at a DMV?
Actually, I would care and complain about it, but for a different reason than you expect. I’ve never understood why DMV and most government offices are open generally 8 am -5 pm on weekdays, when people who work need to get to them from 6-8 am and 6-10 pm weekdays and 8-5 on weekends. Typical government bureaucrats’ response to the needs of constituents, eh? I’ve never been to a voter ID, passport, garbage or utility service office that was busy during the day besides 8-9, lunch, and 4-5—but you can bet that they’re open 8-5 to “help people.”
Watch out for the property tax, way higher than MN.
Can I trade my Social Insecurity for the EPA?
Stand and deliver.
Top earners everywhere are already paying more tax than anyone else: If their taxes were increased it would not come
any where near the amounts needed!
