He doesn't correct his own flubs either. He still insists that Khomeini "banned Twelvers" in Iran (even though Khomeini was a Twelver himself); and just during this last show, he said that Jack Paar "started the Tonight Show" . . . say, what was that show that Steve Allen did from '54 to '57? and who was Sylvester L. Weaver, Junior?
I can only take so much of him....he speaks in circles
Time for a little homework kiddies!
Khomeini was the Ayatolla that led the 1979 revolution who was not a twelver.
Khamenei is the current Ayatolla who is a twelver.
Now do you feel a little smarter now that you know the rest of the story?
that’s not correct about Khomenie, he was against the Hojiteh sect because of their following of the woman leader, khomenie was against that as one of their reasons.
Beck was dead on, and one prominant Freeper here knows more details than I on it...
Glenn Beck is COMOLETELY CORRECT about Khomeini banning the “Hojatieh Twelvers” and drove their leader Ayatollah Mesbah Yazdi nicknamed the ‘crocodile’, Ahmadi-Nejad’s mentor, underground until after Khomeini died and he reappeared as a self-styled head of a Khomeini Organization.
The kindest view of your misinformatiuon is that you confuse the founder of Islamic regime in Iran, Ruhollah Khomeini and current Supreme Ruler Khamenei, who had gone along with the Hojatieh and half-way tries to claim to be the Mahdi!!

Shia Islam sects -- There are a number of different Shia Islam sects & legal schools/doctrines. Examples include: Shafiis, Hanbalis, Malikis, and Hanafis. Approximately 87% of moslem Iranians belong to the Jafari (Twelvers) sect of Shia Islam. Khomeini (founder of Islamic Republic) was one of them. Khamenei (current leader of IRI) is another.
The official religion of Iran, per current Islamic Republic Constitution, is Shia Islam, and the official school of thought (legal) followed is that of *Jafari (Twelvers) Shi'ism*. One must officially belong to the Jafari (Twelvers) Shia Islam in order to occupy a key position in government, and certainly must be to become a Supreme Leader.
Glenn Becks words on Hojjatieh Society -- Article was written in 2006, and has other useful links in it.
Does Hojjatieh Secret Society Runs Iran? - - Hojjatieh Society is a Shia sect, founded in Tehran in 1953 by Shaikh Mahmoud Halabi. The organization was founded to fight against another newly established Shia sect, Bahai faith. Hojjatieh members share this idea with other Shiite Muslims that the Mahdi (the 12th Imam) will return and will rid the world of wrongdoing, injustice and tyranny. But they believe to hasten the return of the Mahdi, they should quicken the coming of the apocalypse by creating chaos and disorder. - (IOW, Hojjatieh is ultra-messianic & apocalyptic)
After the Revolution Hojjatieh members were not allowed to participate in the political scene. They offered Khomeini to cooperate in building the country with their educated young people but Khomeini rejected the offer. Khomeini was against Hojjatieh since they rejected his doctrine of Velayat-e Faqih (Guardianship of the Islamic Jurist). Hojjatiya [Hojjatieh] Society was forced to dissolve after Ayatollah Khomeini speech on 12 August 1983.
