Not in Texas. The 4k miles was going to be what started in Mexico and ended close to Canada. And while Perry wanted to build the Texas portion of that, he couldnt build a road in Oklahoma if he wanted to. Using the “4,000 mile” phrase is a way to exaggerate the writer’s point while being technically correct, but not intellectually honest.

So, was this good idea to have a Mexican superhighway going straight up through Texas, from Mexico, which Perry supported?
