Interesting... but I wonder if Yoko would substantiate this claim.
I have a hard time believing anything Yoko says.
Last I heard he was proud to be a Marxist.
That stupid stupid stupid song Imagine only confirms it.
Let’s base our analysis on his work.
“But if you go carrying pictures of chairman Mao
You ain't going to make it with anyone anyhow”
Here is what John himself said about the song in a 1980 interview:
“The statement in ‘Revolution’ was mine. The lyrics stand today. It's still my feeling about politics. I want to see the plan. That is what I used to say to Abbie Hoffman and Jerry Rubin. Count me out if it is for violence. Don't expect me to be on the barricades unless it is with flowers.”
“Interesting... but I wonder if Yoko would substantiate this claim.”
Only if she thought she could milk a buck out of it. That woman has lived off of the corps of John every day of her life. She is a human maggot.
I’m a huge Beatles fan, but have been somewhat anti-John for a number of years. Mostly due to how he left his first wife and son for that screaming banshee of a woman Yoko. I don’t mind so much that he divorced his first wife, but the way he abandoned his son Julian, was terrible.
This topic about John gives me a little more respect for him, but he is still my least favorite Beatle due to the treatment of his first son.
Yoko would “substantiate” anything that suited her.
