I have to say that as a huge Beatle fan I find this a little hard to believe. However, it lines up with Churchill’s old maxim. Show me a young Conservative and I’ll show you someone with no heart. Show me an old Liberal and I’ll show you someone with no brains.

Where do they come up with this crap?

I’m throwing the BS flag on this one. There’s an agenda here.
Obama has even claimed to be an admirer of Ronaldus Maximus when it suits him.

Last I heard he was proud to be a Marxist.
That stupid stupid stupid song Imagine only confirms it.
Let’s base our analysis on his work.

You need not be a Republican to have liked Reagan. Remember “Reagan Democrats”? RINOs would not like Reagan
To: Wiggins
I believe it. I remember reading he helped purchase bulletproof vests for NYCP shortly before his death. (I know, ironic). The lyrics on “Double Fantasy” also elude to a new pragmatism in his life...

The lyrics to “Beautiful Boy” suggest the same.

Sounds alot like me. I grew up in NYC and only knew liberalism. At 31, moved to New Hampshire, spent many hours in my car, discovered Talk Radio (Jerry Williams and Rush), and realized I was a conservative after all.
The rest is history.

The Beatles’ song “Revolution” is actually rather conservative from the standpoint of the social, cultural, and political turmoil in 1968, when the song was written by John Lennon. It's essentially a plea for non-violent change. One of my favorite lyrics is:
“But if you go carrying pictures of chairman Mao
You ain't going to make it with anyone anyhow”
Here is what John himself said about the song in a 1980 interview:
“The statement in ‘Revolution’ was mine. The lyrics stand today. It's still my feeling about politics. I want to see the plan. That is what I used to say to Abbie Hoffman and Jerry Rubin. Count me out if it is for violence. Don't expect me to be on the barricades unless it is with flowers.”
