(CNN) -- Prosecutors dismissed a charge Monday against a community activist who was arrested while filming a police encounter with her iPod camera because she was concerned it was initiated by racial profiling.
"I'm feeling vindicated, I'm feeling energetic" Emily Good, 28, of Rochester, New York, said of the decision to have the charge dropped. Good had been charged with obstruction of governmental administration when she began videotaping the interrogation of a black man by three white officers in front of her house on May 12, she said.
"Based upon the evidence, we could not make out the elements of the crime charged," Monroe County First Assistant District Attorney Sandra Doorley said.
Good said she intends to file a civil suit.

>>That wasnt an idiotic straw man argument. There are people here who do believe the cops are always in the wrong and must take all the risks and have no right to mitigate the situation.<<
No, you were using a straw man argument to suggest I was among those who “wanted the cop dead” which is “stupid on steroids.”
Go away, please...you’re wasting EVERYBODY’S time.
Then what was she arrested for?
>>there are people here who do believe the cops are always in the wrong and must take all the risks and have no right to mitigate the situation.>>
That IN ITSELF is a straw man argument. I guess you don’t understand the term.
If it’s not a straw man, then you can name each the posters who “elieve the cops are always in the wrong and must take all the risks and have no right to mitigate the situation.”
Who are they? Name names. Either that, or take your stupid straw man arguments elsewhere.
NAME NAMES.
I did see the video and, at one point, she was very close.
>>Citizens also have the right to go home at night<<
EXCELLENT POINT. And she was denied that right, UNJUSTLY, by a cop on a power trip.
Many people need to wake up from their infantile kindergarten perception that “Mr. Nice Policeman is Always There To Help You.”
The government and it's agents do not being on the wrong end of the camera. For good reason.
I never said you were among those who think cops can’t do right, but if you thought I was applying the comment to you, you might want to think as to why you thought the comment was applicable.
So your judgement on the scenario depends on whether someone voted for Obama?
What if the cop is an Obama voter?
One-time PING (don’t worry, I haven’t put anyone on a “list”).
Thought you guys might be interested in this.
Get lost, moron.
“Your opinion of me ranks somewhere near the bottom of my priorities in life.”

Just one of your many statements that confirm you are an idiot.
With that, wouldnt you just want to ban any people from being around someone being arrested. There could be an arrest, and a group of people watching, without filming, and one of them shoots the cop. Any scenario where someone is being arrested and there is one more bystander than officer presents that possibility.
Plus, I dont think cop killers are trying to pretend like they are filming, to throw the cops off, then shoot them. That takes a lot of planning.
I’m not going to go through 3 months of postings to back up my claims. I have read the enough postings to know that a few here are anti-police, no matter what.
Have the police, at times, acted wrongly and with vindication? Sure.
But not always.
Since I discovered that Jonty30 is not an actual thinking person, but a gibberish-generating automaton, life has gotten much less stressful.
I thought you believed in the freedom of speech, buddy.
I’m just practicing mine.

That is just creepy. Is this the soviet union? What the hell happened in this country... jaw drop.
No one is denying your free speech. It’s just that everything you say lacks any logic or intelligence.
So for the love of humanity, please spare us.
I still believe the cops have a right to take necessary precautions to ensure arrests don’t get complicated.
Love me anyway.
I just stated my position on the situation and defended it.
The girl had a right to film, but interfere by being too close.
It was in the right of the cop to order her to back away, but not order her to quit filming.
lol You are the clown crying out Gestapo. Juvenile hyperbole. What a whiner you and this Rochester community activist. How old are you?....go read a history book and learn what the real Gestapo used to do
