Please... Nothing at all against Texas or Texans, arguably the finest people in the world. The country is just not ready for another Texan. He would remind the electorate of George W. and just by virtue of being Texan re-enforce what you know will be the other side's campaign strategy, the tired old saw "failed policies of the past." It also re-enforces the image of the Republican Party as a regional southern party, an image we can shed - contrary to what Michael Steele might believe - without compromising on issues.
