I wonder if there is a list of the “Worlds’s Most Ethical Politicians”?
I doubt it. If there was it would be a short list.
I have no idea but they are a good company.
I would posit that many of the CEOs of these companies find themselves on this list and are embarassed. Not because they are evil, not because they are saints. Because the norm in the US is now gangsterism and fraud, and if folks conduct business ethically, they have omitted tools from their toolbox and left money on the table.
Even Slate calls BS:
“Beware of corporate consulting firms offering awards for corporate ethics”

The companies self-report using this questionnaire, which is heavy on diversity, affirmative action, green initiatives, climate change, carbon footprint, and LGBT stuff. See page 27 in particular.

“A methodology committee of leading attorneys, professors, government officials and organization leaders, assisted Ethisphere in creating the scoring methodology for the Worlds Most Ethical Companies awards.”
Most likely liberals.
